Honest Dandenong transports you back to the streets of Manek chowk in Ahmedabad or khaau galis in Bombay. Right from the food to the vibe of the restaurant- it’s warm, filled with a lovely buzz , the service unmatched and feels like home (india). We had the pav bhaji, gobi manchurian , fried rice and the cheese dish! Absolutely lovedddddddd all the food! Will be back soon 🙂

Honest Restaurant delivers an exceptional dining experience with rich, authentic Indian flavours and a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. The service is prompt and courteous, and the atmosphere is clean and comfortable. Great value for money — definitely one of the best Indian vegetarian spots in Melbourne.

We went for dinner on a Sunday night for 3 people. We were very lucky to get a table as we did not have a booking and the place was very busy and had a lot of happy customers. My family enjoyed the crispy aloo chat for entree which was a generous serving. For dinner we enjoyed the veg jalfrezi, nargish kofta and a bread basket which had a variety of garlic and plain naan, roti, and lacha paratha. Thank you for a wonderful night.

Just got surprised by seeing how much busy this restaurant was on Sunday evening despite being only vegetarian restaurant. Took lot of time to serve my order. Eating chur chur naan for first time and I loved it. Food was so fresh, hot and made instantly. Not even 1 percent of Makhani is burnt, very smooth, buttery and yummy. Heavily paneer stuffed naan is crunchy and delicious. Have to accept it as good restaurant after having food. Prices are moderate, food quantity can be increased. Food quality is much appreciated. This Honest brand exists since 3 decades from the city in India called Ahmedabad. Advantageous thing is live kitchen and Menu items include exciting, mouth watering street food like pani puri, sandwiches, pizza, pav bhai, chaat, Indo Chinese etc. number of items are limited. customer service was not polite, bit rude but needs a polite approach. Ambiance is simple. Interesting stories on walls and tv screens. No slump at the counter.

Probably the best pav bhaji in Melbourne. In the last week I've visited them thrice. Picked Pav bhaji and Pulav for a family function, everyone liked it.

Couldn't believe this was a franchise of Honest bhajipau from Ahmedabad. Most importantly, its not just a namesake and the taste is very close to how you get it in the real one at Ahmedabad.

I’ve truly missed Honest Restaurant since moving here from Gujarat 🇮🇳, and finally getting to visit their branch here yesterday with friends brought back so many memories! 🥰✨ The moment I stepped in, the familiar aroma and vibrant atmosphere made me feel right at home.
